Wednesday
After breakfast cruise downriver to picturesque Swan Reach. The town was first settled in the 1850s, was originally the largest of five sheep and cattle stations in the area and is now home to native flower and fruit growers. The original Swan Reach homestead is now the Swan Reach Hotel where you can enjoy an ale or cappuccino overlooking the Murray River. Join the guided walking tour and visit the Swan Reach Museum – a must for every visitor. Cruise downriver after lunch and take in the tranquillity as the landscape slides by or enjoy a lifestyle and info-cruising presentation. When you arrive at Sunnydale, it’s all ashore for the Woolshed Show as staff recreate typical Australian woolshed history. Later visit the Native Wildlife Shelter where some of South Australia’s most interesting native animals are cared for. And then of course, there is the great Aussie Barbecue – cooked and served in a bush setting on the banks of the mighty Murray River. An optional Nocturnal tour by tractor and cart is available after dinner (additional cost).
Included meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Thursday
After an optional early morning Bush Tucker Breakfast, slowly cruise downriver past magnificent cliffs scoured by the river over millions of years. Reach Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, one of Australia’s most significant archaeological sites, for a step back in time – tens of thousands of years – for a guided boardwalk tour to view ancient rock carvings and to learn about Aboriginal history in the area. Return to the vessel to cruise downriver to Younghusband. Along the way, adventure seekers can also take a speed boat ride. Tonight the Captain and his officers host a spectacular Farewell Captain’s Buffet Dinner. Dress up and dance, if you wish!
Included meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Friday
After breakfast, PS Murray Princess arrives at Mannum where you will be greeted by your coach then it’s off to the famous Barossa, the beautiful ‘valley of the vine’ and the source of about a quarter of Australia’s world-renowned wines. You will visit two premium wineries, enjoy lunch and fantastic scenery before returning to Adelaide.
Included meals: breakfast & lunch
Accommodation: Hilton Adelaide - 2 night stay

Saturday
This morning is your sensory and interactive gourmet walking tour of the Adelaide Central Markets with a local food expert. Since 1869, the Central Market has been the jewel in the crown of South Australian Tourism experiences, a haven of premium food and wine products, and second home to chefs and food lovers. Enjoy a range of delicious samples that represent the multicultural community of South Australia and the clean and green produce harvested from farms and oceans.
Included meals: breakfast

Sunday
This morning you will be transferred from your accommodation to Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal where you will board The Ghan and travel by rail to Alice Springs in your chosen service of travel. Accommodation: The Ghan - 1 night on board

Monday

Included meals: breakfast & lunch
Accommodation: DoubleTree Hilton Alice Springs - 1 night stay

Tuesday
Travelling south you’ll stop to visit a camel farm for an optional camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon visit Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and explore Walpa Gorge. Enjoy complimentary wine and canapés while watching the sunset at Uluru. As darkness falls you will be transferred to the Field of Light. As far as the eye can see gentle rhythms of colour light up the desert. The critically acclaimed Field of Light Uluru by the internationally celebrated artist Bruce Munro, aptly named Tili Wiru Tjuta Nyakutjaku or ‘looking at lots of beautiful lights’ in local Pitjantjatjara is Munro’s largest work to date. Overwhelming in size, covering more than seven football fields, it invites immersion in its fantasy garden of 50,000 spindles of light, the stems breathing and swaying through a sympathetic desert spectrum of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white.
Accommodation: Sails in the Desert Hotel

Wednesday
Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre and Uluru alight. After sunrise join your Driver Guide for a drive around the base of Uluru then travel to Mutitjulu Waterhole. Here view Aboriginal rock art and learn about the area as your Driver Guide indicates native flora and fauna and explains the history of Uluru. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to see locally-made arts and crafts. Travel to Kings Canyon this afternoon.
Accommodation: Kings Canyon Resort

Thursday
Join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness, sturdy shoes required).
