Today head north and experience the very best the famous Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills have to offer. Enjoy a delectable lunch at Barossa Chateau before meandering back towards Adelaide through the amazing scenic countryside. This afternoon explore the enchanting town of historic Hahndorf with its unique Bavarian ambiance and wide variety of craft shops, galleries and tea rooms.

Today you will have a free day in Adelaide to explore the city at your own pace. Perhaps visit the Giant Pandas at Adelaide Zoo or stroll down the North Terrace cultural boulevard.

This evening you will be transferred to the Adelaide Parklands Terminal to celebrate the start of your rail journey with the ‘Flavours of South Australia Welcome Dinner’. Afterwards board the Indian Pacific and travel to Perth in your chosen service. Watch as the barren expanse of the Nullarbor Plain slides by on this spectacular journey across Australia.
