Alice Springs, Northern Territory Today after you arrive into Alice Springs you will be transferred from the Airport to your hotel.
Accommodation: Mercure Alice Springs - 1 night stay


Thursday
This morning you will join your Kata Tjuta, Uluru & Kings Canyon tour. Depart Alice Springs, stopping at a camel farm, where there’s the opportunity to ride one of these ‘ships of the desert’ (own expense). View Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Marvel at the unique flora and witness a magnificent outback sunset while enjoying sparkling wine.

Friday
Watch the gorgeous sunrise at Uluru, then travel to Kata Tjuta and on to Walpa Gorge. Spend time exploring the gorge and its unusual rock formations. This afternoon join your Driver Guide for a drive around the base of Uluru. Continue to the Kuniya Walk, where you’ll be escorted to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. View ancient rock art and learn about the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Late afternoon witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset with nibbles and sparkling wine. After sunset, join us under the stars at our exclusive venue. Enjoy sparkling wine then dine on a menu of steak, lamb sausages, chicken skewers, garlic prawns and a selection of fresh salads and a tasty dessert. There’s time for stargazing too (weather permitting).

After a morning at leisure, drive through sand hill country to Kings Canyon.
Accommodation: Kings Canyon Resort - 1 night stay


Sunday
Climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park or you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed, an easier, shady walk. Travel back to Alice Springs, where you will be dropped at your hotel.

Monday
Today is at your leisure. This evening you will be transferred to Alice Springs Train Station where you will board The Ghan and travel by rail from Alice Springs to Darwin in your chosen service of travel. Prepare for a journey of comfort, relaxation and a touch of adventure, as the legendary Ghan carries you into the tropical Top End.

Tuesday
Continue your adventure by making a stop in Katherine this morning, home of the stunning Katherine Gorge and rich in Indigenous history.
