Sunday
This morning begin your overnight Kakadu and East Alligator River tour. Depart Darwin and travel along the Arnhem Highway, passing major river systems and wetland regions, into Kakadu National Park. Located 257 kilometres east of Darwin, the national park covers 20,000 square kilometres of landscape varying from rocky escarpment that is home to historic Aboriginal rock art dating back thousands of years, to the floodplains that are abundant with wildlife. Visit Warradjan Cultural Centre to view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu. Join your local guide on a cruise of Yellow Water Billabong Cruise. Search for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of birdlife for which this region is renowned. After lunch (included), stop at Nourlangie, where your Driver Guide will lead you on a walk to view the rock art galleries.

Monday
This morning you’ll head off with your Driver Guide to explore the World Heritage Area of Ubirr, where you’ll climb up through the ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries, believed to be 20,000 years old, to the lookout for the view over the surrounding wetlands. Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River. An Aboriginal guide will provide an insight into their culture, including local mythology, the river’s abundant food chain, as well as bush survival skills. With special permission of the local people, you are able to go ashore in Arnhem Land. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre before returning to Darwin.

This morning you will be picked up and transferred to Darwin Train Station to board The Ghan Expedition and travel by rail from Darwin to Adelaide. Prepare for a journey of comfort, relaxation and a touch of adventure, as the legendary Ghan takes you deep into the heart of Australia. This afternoon you will arrive into Katherine, home of the stunning Katherine Gorge and rich in Indigenous history.

Sunday
Today is free day in Adelaide for you to enjoy at your own pace. Visit Adelaide Zoo, catch the tram to bustling Glenelg, stroll down Rundle Mall or ask your consultant for further tour options.

Monday
This morning you will be picked up to begin your Kangaroo Island tour. Upon your arrival onto the island, visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery and learn about the history of the oil distillery and take a guided tour. Continue onto Vivonne Bay Bistro for a delicious two course lunch. After lunch visit Seal Bay Conservation Park and walk amongst a Australian sea lions with a National Park Ranger. Continue onto the fascinating In-flight Birds of Prey Display at Raptor Domain where you can meet an array of Australian birds and raptors. From here, travel to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where you can get up close with Koalas, see Penguins swim and play, hand feed Kangaroos and Wallabies, learn about endangered species, interact with Snakes, Crocodiles and reptiles and experience Kangaroo Island Wildlife at your fingertips! You will then be transferred back to your accommodation to spend the remainder of your day at your leisure.

Tuesday
After a delicious breakfast, visit Clifford’s Honey Farm to enjoy an informative talk by the beekeeper followed by tastings and an opportunity to sample homemade honey ice-cream. Next, travel to Hanson Bay Visitor Centre Café for a scrumptious two course lunch. After lunch you have the chance to look for Koalas nestled up in the eucalypts and see an abundance of native birdlife in the wildlife sanctuary. Continue to the western most part of the Island, Flinders Chase National Park to witness stunning coastlines and walk around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch before beginning the return journey to Adelaide.
