Kakadu National Park tour
Today rise early for your Kakadu National Park tour. Begin your day by travelling on one of the longest roads in Australia, the Stuart Highway. Kakadu National Park covers an area of more than 19,800 square kilometres, is World Heritage listed and is the largest National Park in Australia. The combination of mangrove fringed coastal areas, flood plains, open woodland and forest habitats, make Kakadu one of the most diverse landscapes you will ever experience. Be mesmerised as you wander the Nourlangie rock art site. The 1.5km walk around the base of the rock, led by your Driver Guide, will give you the opportunity to see many different forms of Aboriginal rock art paintings. After lunch (included) join your local guide for a cruise on the Yellow Water Billabong. The picturesque yellow waters are home to thousands of saltwater crocodiles and up to 60 species of colourful birdlife. The Bininj people are the traditional custodians of Kakadu National Park and now we visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to introduce you to their way of life. Travel back to Darwin late this evening after a full and eventful day exploring Australia’s largest National Park.

OR

Litchfield National Park tour
Boarding early for the drive to Litchfield National Park you will be entertained by your Driver Guide with tales both tall and true of the history of Australia’s longest highway. The gorgeous, historical town of Batchelor is the gateway to Litchfield National Park. Today, Batchelor’s townsfolk love to host visitors to Litchfield National Park and it’s here that you’ll enjoy morning tea (own expense) at one of their local cafés. View the termite mounds found at Litchfield National Park and the spectacular double waterfall of Florence Falls from a high vantage point, before making your way down the stairs to take a dip in the gorgeous plunge pool. One of the three major waterfalls along the western face of the Tabletop Range is Tolmer Falls. Marvel at the water cascading down into the deep waterhole at the base of the falls, home to several colonies of rare ghost bats and orange horseshoe bats. Included in your tour is lunch at the Litchfield Café. Relax, enjoy the company of your fellow travellers and if you’re ready for another swim, Wangi Falls is the most accessible of rock pools and is a perfect spot to take another dip.
