I once read that sometimes when we are forbidden to do something this can create more of an obsession with that said something be it certain foods, activities and in our current climate - travel. For me, not being able to travel interstate or overseas at this present time has fueled my desire even more so to see and experience all the places on my list. Well, it turns out we can still have a holiday of sorts, thanks to technology and our devices.

Let’s start with a holiday to the USA. Thanks to arts and culture by google we can embark on a sunset point tour of the majestic Bryce Canyon National Park  Explore the main sights and attractions virtually in Yellowstone National Park from the Mud Volcano, Norris Geyser Basin, Mammoth Hot Springs, Fort Yellowstone, Fountain Paint Pot to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

New York on your USA list? If it is then so are the famous museums including a tour through MoMa Museum of Modern Art or the world renowned Guggenheim Museum. Next of course, a must-do Broadway production. Broadway HD allows you to stream your favourite Broadway hits anytime, from Broadway Classics, critically acclaimed productions and musicals to family friendly favourites there is something to please everyone and a long list to deliberate over!

For the leisure activities you can ride the rails of the Incredicoaster at Disney’s California Adventure Park  or board your vessel and enjoy a trip with Anna, Elsa and Olaf on Frozen Ever After ride at Disney World Epcot Centre. Or take a trip to San Diego Zoo and head to Africa Rocks to watch live cam footage of baboons and penguins. Enjoy time in the Safari Park watching giraffes, burrowing owls, elephants and tigers on live cam watch. Watch polar bears, apes and more and see what else you can spot in the background.

Time to cross the Atlantic Ocean to London where a virtual tour of Buckingham Palace awaits. The first tour takes you to the Grand Staircase with further tours available of the White Drawing Room, the Throne Room and the Blue Drawing Room. Take a virtual tour of the British Museum or view the city’s most famous landmarks via live streams and webcams including a live view from the famous Shard, Canary Wharf, Westminster Bridge and the River Thames. See how many iconic landmarks you can spot and watch the sunrise and sunset for absolutely stunning and seemingly peaceful views of the city.

Across the sea to Europe, our first stop is picturesque Amsterdam and to begin with a tour of the Van Gogh Museum for an immersive experience and then retreat back to your hotel room and watch the comings and goings of the city. Next is France where you have three virtual tours of the Louvre including the Egyptian Antiquities, Remains of the Louvres Moat and Galerie d’Apollon. The Vatican in Italy offers fantastic 360 degree virtual tours including the Sistine Chapel, New Wing and Raphael’s Rooms. The virtual tour of Prague Castle is exceptional. Enter the gates into the first courtyard with information along the way and progress to each part and click the information icons along the way. A true 360 degrees experience which will have you feeling you are there.

Further amazing virtual travel experiences can also be had including spectacular Machu Picchu in Peru, a Hawaii Volcanoes National Park tour, a virtual walk along the Great Wall of China and live web cam footage of the African wild including Tembe, Olifants River, Kwa Maritane, Naledi, Nkhoro and Cat-EYE.

We hope this keeps your travel dreams and inspiration at the forefront and ready to travel again when it is safe to do so.
