If you haven’t yet journeyed on P&O’s Pacific Explorer then it’s time to make it your next exciting cruise. With its fresh and stylish designs reflecting modern Australia it offers the perfect holiday combination of both relaxation and adventure. Their tag line is ‘something for everyone’ and this certainly fits the bill. Step on board as we explore some of its many features…

Let’s begin with the partnership with Archie Rose Distilling Company where you can enjoy their incredible range of spirits and partake in a special gin making class in The Bonded Store. One of the trendiest bars at sea, it has that tucked away hidden bar feel with an intimate vibe and unique, vintage touches. Also adding to the social bar scene is the Explorer Hotel offering a range of boutique ales and ciders in a relaxed atmosphere amongst many of the existing bar favourites.

Then there is Black Circus, an innovative cabaret-style entertainment and dining venue giving you the ultimate night out of fun and glamour, with exclusive dinner show packages available.

What to eat? There are 12 dining options included in your cruise fare, spoiling you for choice at meals times. You’ll find the renowned 400 Gradi Pizza & Italian with their famous mouth-watering, award-winning rustic Italian pizzas and many more comfort Italian dishes to delight any foodie! Luke’s Burgers is another must-do meal stop to experience their seriously good gourmet burgers, designed by celebrity chef Luke Mangan, in their casual, al-fresco dining outlet.

Fill yourself with delicious food in The Pantry – an interactive-style dining experience that puts the flavours of the world on the end of your fork! Here you’ll find nine fresh food outlets that replace the traditional ship buffet, including the Curry House, flavourful Mexicana, Kettle & Bun for your fresh sandwiches and tasty salads, Sugar Baby for all your sweet-tooth needs, Stix for fine Asian cuisine, Fat Cow for meat lovers and McGregors Garden for a selection of fresh salads that change daily. You’ll also find the Shell and Bones, P&O’s first seafood restaurant which is a must-have dining experience while on board.

Ready for some more excitement? The P&O Edge Adventure Park is your ticket.  Get your adrenaline pumping in Australia’s largest adventure park at sea as you race down a zip line from the top deck, rock climb the Boulder Wall, or test your balance skills on Walk the Plank, plus plenty more awesome activities to get your heart pumping. If you’re after some water fun there are two waterslides for both the young and young at heart providing hours of fun - one being disco themed with music and bright lights as you whirl, and dance, your way to the bottom! There’s also a waterpark full of interactive water features to keep the younger generations happy, two main swimming polls and 2 adults only retreat areas, both with plunge pools  – The Oasis and The Sanctuary.

Alongside the above there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained including live shows, parties and the popular Learn Something New on board classes to learn all sorts of skills from making the perfect latte, mastering the cha-cha or perhaps unleashing your inner creative with arts and craft classes. With a wide range of musicians on board you can catch different music every night, from guitar duos and piano vocals to rocking four-piece party bands who play a mix of jazz, blues, funk and R’n’B. For a more chilled performance the Ocean Bar is definitely your destination, but for a more intimate live music experience then a visit to The Blue Room should be on the cards.
