Step aboard
Princess Cruises’ Regal Princess for the perfect combination of fun, refinement
and relaxation. Sister ship to Royal Princess, she will be Sydney’s newest
landmark addition for the 2020/21 Australian cruising season and an exciting
new addition to our exclusive cruising holidays.
One of the highlights on Regal has to be The Seawalk. A glass-floor walkway sitting 128 feet high over the sea and extending 28 feet from the edge of the ship, offering unparalleled and ever-changing ocean views and a unique day and night ship experience.
Another highlight of Regal is the food, of course. Horizon Court buffet is continuously popular offering an amazing selection of international meals and snacks throughout the day to suit all tastes. There are also three main dining rooms for traditional sit-down breakfast, lunch and dinner options and also where you can savour signature “Crafted” healthy and delicious dishes designed by the award-winning Chef Curtis Stone. Alfredo’s Pizzeria and Trident Grill are also great, both offering relaxed poolside dining with freshly made pizzas, hotdogs and hamburgers with the Gelato Bar a perfect desert option to keep everyone happy! For the specialty dining restaurants, at an additional fee, you can’t go past Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria for rustic family recipes and an extensive wine list that will transport you straight to Italy.
The
European style grand Piazza is certainly the heart of the ship, spread over 3
decks with three impressive spiral staircases as the fitting centerpieces, and
where you will often gravitate to. It is home to boutique shopping options for
some retail therapy and some great dining and bar options. Bellini’s is great
for cocktails, Vines for the wine connoisseurs, the popular International Café for
all your small bite meals and treats and the Piazza Bar is perfect for just
relaxing with a drink, listening to music and people watching.
If you are like me, The Lotus Spa will be your spot to reset and relax, featuring a huge hot tub with a rain shower in the middle plus aromatherapy infused steam rooms for complete rejuvenation. To enhance this even further my suggestion would be to combine this with some time in the adults-only Sanctuary to keep that relaxed vibe going just a little longer.
The Lido pool deck has the Princess Watercolour Fantasy Show whereby the fountain is illuminated and the water seemingly dances to the music in quite a captivating display, well worth the watch with 4 different fountain shows daily. This poolside location also houses Movies Under the Stars featuring films, thrilling concerts and live sporting events on the latest hd quality screen, while you cosy up with a blanket on the comfortable lounger and feast on complimentary fresh-popped popcorn in the evening!
Top notch entertainment is always available at the Princess Theatre which offers palladium style seating and my tip is to get there early to secure a good seat. If you like Broadway style productions then you will love the high energy, Princess exclusive, production of “Born to Dance” which is a mixture of Chicago, West Side Story, A Chorus Line and more.
Add to this a state-of-the-art fitness centre, the latest technology of Princess
MedallionClass for an enhanced cruising experience, so many engaging and
leisure activities for all ages to choose from and fresh, contemporary
stateroom accommodation you will have everything you need for the perfect, only
unpack once, holiday.
