Staff Series - Where We're Travelling to In 2025

I’m off to Japan in February! I’ve always wanted to visit and can’t wait to immerse myself in the stunning blend of traditional culture and modern innovation, from exploring ancient temples and vibrant street markets in Kyoto to the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. I’m also super excited about staying overnight on Miyajima Island in Hiroshima, which will be a nice break from the hecticness of the rest of the trip. 

The first holiday is in March to South America, specifically Chile and Argentina and includes a 5 day/4 night Patagonia Fjord cruise aboard the Stella Australis Expedition ship.  Touring of Santiago, Torres del Paine National Park, Balmaceda and Serrano Glacier, Perito Moreno Glacier and Los Glaciares National Park and Ushuaia.

The second holiday is in October and will include a cruise from Malta to Malaga in Southern Spain.  This cruise is with Starclippers and is a sail ship.  We’ll then be touring around Southern Spain including Ronda, Granada, Seville, Cadiz and Cordoba.

We are going on a family holiday on a cruise to the South Pacific – New Caledonia and Vanuatu. We cannot wait to experience Ovation of the Seas which is a destination in itself, together with the pristine waters of the South Pacific – the perfect family holiday.

I’m planning a trip to Fiji next year for a tropical island getaway to enjoy some sun, do a spot of snorkelling, relax by the pool and immerse myself in the local culture. I went there about 10 years ago, but didn’t spend much time so I can’t wait to see more. That and a local trip to Port Lincoln & Coffin Bay! 

I'm really excited about my trip to Argentina in January! I'm planning to spend some time in Buenos Aires, exploring the vibrant neighbourhoods of Palermo and Revoluta. I can't wait to try the delicious asados (barbecues), catch a thrilling soccer match, perhaps even catch a show at the world-renowned Teatro Colón and admire the iconic Obelisco and Puerto Madero.

From Buenos Aires, I'll head down to Patagonia for some incredible outdoor adventures. First, I'll be trekking on the Perito Moreno Glacier in Santa Cruz Province. Then, I'll start heading north towards Bariloche, taking in the stunning scenery of Patagonia along the way. I'll be hiking in the beautiful landscapes of Nahuel Huapi National Park and El Chaltén in Río Negro Province. After Patagonia, I'll head to Mendoza, the heart of Argentina's wine country. I'll be visiting world-class wineries and tasting the famous Malbec.

To wrap up my trip, I'll return to Buenos Aires for a few more days before heading to Uruguay. I'll take the ferry across the Río de la Plata to Punta del Este, where I'll spend some relaxing days enjoying the beautiful beaches and the laid-back atmosphere.

I’m planning on visiting Vietnam, I’ve been before many years so I’m excited to go back to some of the places and see what has changed like a cruise around Halong Bay and shopping in Hoi An but I’m most looking forward to the food, I love Pho and can’t wait to have it again in Vietnam!

The countdown is on for my trip home to Sri Lanka next May! I’ll be spending two weeks reconnecting with family and friends, and I can’t wait to catch up with them and do some sightseeing. Super excited to visit Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England” for its lush hills and cool weather—perfect for tea! I’m looking forward to visiting tea factories and chasing stunning waterfalls. This trip will be an incredible mix of family time, nature, and culture. 

I’m planning on heading back home to Canada. As I’ll be flying with Air Fiji, I’ll spend a few days there and a few days exploring, including an exciting visit to Detroit. I’m excited to visit Southern Ontario’s beautiful wine regions, enjoying exquisite wines and stunning landscapes. I’ll also spend some time camping in picturesque areas and reconnect with friends and family.
