There are some itchy feet in our office. A room filled with people all passionate for the travel industry and always thinking where our next venture might be. For now that may be constricted to where we might next venture for our daily exercise but once the travel restrictions are lifted and it is safe to travel, we are off. Longing to travel on holidays we had booked but postponed, excited to reconnect with family and friends or just eager for a change of scenery.  I asked my colleagues where they plan to travel to once they can and their responses were:

Japan – Andrew

My next trip will be Japan to replace our missed honeymoon. I’d love to see the cherry blossoms in bloom and super keen on the food, especially in Osaka, as they say it’s the centre of food in Japan. I also want to buy chef knives and pottery whilst there.

Melbourne and Kangaroo Island – Nella

My first stop will be Melbourne to see my fiancé. After that a girls weekend to Kangaroo Island hopefully for some rest, relaxation, missed time with my girlfriends and to support the local KI community who have had a tough start to 2020 -  ravaged by bushfires then close followed by the pandemic.

Bali – Allanha

An exotic escape to Bali is on the cards to finally unwind and relax after all the craziness.

Hunter Valley – Pip

An avid golfer, Pip is hoping to travel to  the Hunter Valley in October to enjoy their lovely golf courses and wineries!

Australia – Dani

When this madness finally blows over, I’ll have itchy feet to explore, and I’m already planning my freedom! Locally, I think I want to visit the Flinders Ranges – I’ve never been before and it’s around a 5 hour drive from Adelaide. I’d really love to try out the Ikara Safari Camp for a glamping experience! I also have an obsession with wanting to visit Byron Bay, specifically Elements of Byron,  a beachfront resort which looks incredible and has daily beachside yoga that would be amazing. Another trip in Australia I’d love to do is to hire a campervan and explore Western Australia’s south-western coast. It may take longer for international travel to be available, but Los Angeles is hot on my list!

Germany – Julia

To see my family. I can not wait to connect with my family and friends there again.

South America – Lorraine

I have a travel booking in place to travel to Chile and Bolivia in late July this year.  I’ve booked an Intrepid tour of Bolivia as well as having a few days in Chile pre-tour.  The tour includes the Bolivian salt flats which is a place we really wanted to see.  I’m still hoping to go on this trip but time will tell if I put it on hold.  At this point, we don’t have any other travel plans in place but I have been known to go Singapore for a long weekend – so who knows!

Anywhere – Carly

Paul and I are looking forward to be able to go back to anywhere sunny where there is a pool, as our daughter loves the water and splashing around.

UK, Italy and France – Sarah

We had a once in a lifetime trip booked with my husband and two children and my parents to the UK for a relatives birthday celebration, and then explore further into Europe while we were there. Thank goodness we were given flexibility to defer our arrangements and are very much looking forward to making this trip a realisation. And will be appreciating that bit more too.

Kangaroo Island, Tasmania and Canada – Casey

Domestically I want to go to Kangaroo Island or Tasmania. KI needs our support after the recent bushfires. Tassie has always been on the bucket list and if you can’t travel internationality why not travel close to home.

Internationally I want to go to Canada (fingers crossed). Canada is so magical and I really can’t wait to see the spectacular scenery with my own eyes. I will be travelling to the west coast.

This is the tour itinerary:

Awe-inspiring scenery and fascinating wildlife are simply everywhere in western Canada. This 12-day adventure hits crisp Jasper and serene Lake Louise, a scenic ferry crossing to Vancouver Island, a river safari through Grizzly Bear Valley, and a drive along the jaw-dropping Icefields Parkway. Whether you’re walking atop a glacier or meandering the gorgeous streets of Whistler Village, you’re sure to feel that Rocky Mountain high.

•            Explore Banff during a walk with an expert from the Whyte Museum

•            Embark on a glacier walk with an expert guide

•            Soak and unwind in natural hot springs

•            Explore the popular resort town of Whistler

•            Search for grizzly and black bears on a float trip at Blue River
